Well, we had our very first Christmas with just our little family this year. After the girls decided to wake up (they slept in until almost 9am), we all opened presents and Jamie and I enjoyed watching the excitement in the girls eyes when they say that Santa had come to visit again. The other cool thing about this Christmas, is that we actually had a White Christmas down here in Texas! I know, it's freaking crazy that it snowed and actually stayed around for awhile. I did however forget to take a picture of our house covered in snow. So, I guess you'll just have to take my word for it. This year has been very busy, crazy, exciting, and we can't wait to see what 2010 has instore for our family. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and that we all remember why we are actually celebrating this season. All the presents and money spent mean nothing with out first remembering the birth of our dear Savior Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for that special night, and all of the wonderful blessings that have come about because of him. I love my Savior and my Heavenly Father, and will work harder this next year to become more like them. Merry Christmas everyone and have a Happy New Year!!! Enjoy these couple of pictures we took this morning.

TYCE MICHAEL BARRERA
Wednesday, October 28th at 6:30 am, we were blessed with the arrival of our third child (and more importantly our first boy) Tyce Michael Barrera. He was in a hurry to get here, because Jamie was only in the delivery room for about an hour and a half before he popped out. Tyce was 7lbs 5oz, and was 20 1/4 inches long.
So far, Tyce has been a pretty good baby. Although, lately he has decided he doesn't like to sleep at night which makes his mommy very tired. Luckily, we have my mom, Grandma LouAnn here to help and give Jamie a chance to get some much needed rest during the day. We are so grateful that my mom was so willing to make the trip down here and help us out. It's so very nice to have a mom that makes such an effort to help us out, even if it isn't always the most convient time to be asking for help. We weren't even sure she was going to make it, because she had gotten very sick with the H1N1 flu and it put her out of it for about a week. It is truly a blessing to have her here, and the girls are loving having their grandma here to play with them and their new baby brother. Here are a few pictures of Tyce and his sisters (please do not print these pics off, if you would like to have them, please email us and we will send them to you).

We hope everyone is doing well, and sorry it took so long for us to put up a new post, but we've been kinda busy. I will try and make sure that the blogging happens more often for those that actually care to view it. Have a wonderful upcoming week and thanks for being our friends.

4th of July ( A little late but oh well)
One of the first thoughts I had when I found out that Lola was going to be a girl was "yes matching dresses!" and since the 4th of July is one of my most favorite days of the year I found the girls matching dresses to where this year.
I found out that Texas doesn't allow fireworks which is absolute insanity, so I was really happy when some friends from Oklahoma invited us to spend the 4th with them. We were planning on going to a big fireworks show put on by the city. Unfortunately in between the time I got out of the pool, got ready to go and went back outside to check on the grill it had started to rain! I said a few bad words in my head and than got some money from Mike to go buy our own fireworks.
So our show was a little bit smaller than I thought it was going to be but the girls still looked absolutely adorable! Sorry about the picture quality, I forgot to pack the camera so we had to use Mike's blackberry for our photo shoot. :)

Is it a Boy or a Girl?
So, Wednesday the 17th, Jamie and I, along with both girls went to the OB's office to get an ultrasound and find out what the sex of our third child is going to be. Now, I was demanding a boy, but after Jamie reminded me that I am solely responsible for the sex of the baby, I started doing a lot of macho things to give me some sort of hope that by doing those things, it would actually help us have a boy.
Well, after about 10 minutes of the Tech looking around, we are proud to announce that sometime in October (I can't remember the actual due date) we will be expecting the arrival of our very first baby BOY! We will be posting the pics soon.

Going Private
So, we have decided to have our blog go private. This is Michael by the way. We're going private because I really don't like that just anyone can look at where we live and see my kids and what we are doing. I'm a little weird like that I guess. But, with all the weirdos that are around, I am kinda picky with who can have access to my family. So, if you would like to continue to be able to read our blog and the updates that hopefully Jamie is better at than I am, leave me your email address, and I'll make sure you're added to the list of people who are okay to view it (If you're lucky)! I'll be doing this in the next week or so, so you better hurry up.

Holy Blog Barf!
Sorry for the huge delay, but I have decided that I (Jamie) am going to take over the blog that Michael started for us. Since it had been since forever and there was absolutely no proof of our existence in Texas I just put it all out at once! Someday maybe I will learn to make it cuter but for now this is it. Enjoy!
The Great Outdoors Barrera Style!
One day Michael decided that we were going to start camping as a family. So we went out bought a tent and a battery powered fan and planned our first camping trip. We traveled all the way to our backyard!
The rest of the night went something like this...
7pm the tent is up and ella wants to go to sleep
8pm we realize we don't have batteries for the fan michael swears he can't sleep without so we run to wal-mart
9pm we get the girls into pj's and get the sleeping arrangements figured out
9:30 the girls are in bed
!0:35 after telling lola to lay down and ella to stop laughing at lola 37,000 times lola finally falls asleep.
10:40 michael realizes that camping is not for him and heads inside to sleep.
10:41 ella gets on the air mattress with me and promtly falls asleep
11pmish i finally fall asleep
11:15 the neighbors come outside for what sounds like a pool party with intoxicated guests and barking dogs.
12:15 they go inside and i fall back asleep
1am the temperature which had been around 90 all day finally drops so i wake up very cold and go inside to get blankets.
1:15 back asleep for good!
6:05 sun rise!
Party Time!
No way can this be happening alreadY!
I'm not sure what it is but something about Ella has all the boys in Texas fighting for her affection. Rerly does a primary class or playgroup go by without a proposal or a boy crying because he can't sit by ella!
And now for her birthday Dash, a fellow sunbeam, brought her flowers. She was totally thrilled and I think it even made me blush. Mike on the other hand is just getting nervous for the future!
Sisters!
Easter
It really was great to have our best neighbors ever down for Easter!
ZOO DAY!
ELLA'S, tear tear, FIRST, sniffle, HAIRCUT. sniff sniff.
