Holy Blog Barf!

Sorry for the huge delay, but I have decided that I (Jamie) am going to take over the blog that Michael started for us. Since it had been since forever and there was absolutely no proof of our existence in Texas I just put it all out at once! Someday maybe I will learn to make it cuter but for now this is it. Enjoy!

The Great Outdoors Barrera Style!

One day Michael decided that we were going to start camping as a family. So we went out bought a tent and a battery powered fan and planned our first camping trip. We traveled all the way to our backyard!

We all enjoyed some popcicles,

mike tried S'mores on the grill but it didn't work out so well so we just eat marshmallows!




The rest of the night went something like this...

7pm the tent is up and ella wants to go to sleep
8pm we realize we don't have batteries for the fan michael swears he can't sleep without so we run to wal-mart
9pm we get the girls into pj's and get the sleeping arrangements figured out
9:30 the girls are in bed
!0:35 after telling lola to lay down and ella to stop laughing at lola 37,000 times lola finally falls asleep.
10:40 michael realizes that camping is not for him and heads inside to sleep.
10:41 ella gets on the air mattress with me and promtly falls asleep
11pmish i finally fall asleep
11:15 the neighbors come outside for what sounds like a pool party with intoxicated guests and barking dogs.
12:15 they go inside and i fall back asleep
1am the temperature which had been around 90 all day finally drops so i wake up very cold and go inside to get blankets.
1:15 back asleep for good!
6:05 sun rise!

Party Time!

Due to my lousy time management skills, and partly because I was in denial that my first baby could possibly be turning 4, Ella's party was planned two days prior to her birthday and the invatations were given by phone, but we all still had a lot of fun any way!

No way can this be happening alreadY!

Oh but it is. Ella has received her first bouquet of flowers from a boy!


I'm not sure what it is but something about Ella has all the boys in Texas fighting for her affection. Rerly does a primary class or playgroup go by without a proposal or a boy crying because he can't sit by ella!

And now for her birthday Dash, a fellow sunbeam, brought her flowers. She was totally thrilled and I think it even made me blush. Mike on the other hand is just getting nervous for the future!

The quietest lunch we have ever had!

After a great morning of playing we had an even better nap time!

I swear that they do love each other! Although this picture doesn't quite capture it Lola is actually a fabulous hugger.

Easter
